As an independent candidate for Glen Eira and Jasper Ward in the upcoming local council elections, I place a paramount importance on ethics, integrity, and honesty. These principles form the foundation of my commitment to serving the community with the utmost transparency and accountability.

I firmly believe that maintaining high ethical standards and acting with integrity are non-negotiable requirements for anyone seeking public office. Upholding these values ensures that decisions are made in the best interests of the community, free from any personal agendas or conflicts of interest.

Transparency is at the core of my approach to governance. I pledge to be open and honest in all my dealings, providing clear and accurate information to residents. By fostering a culture of trust and accountability, I aim to build a strong and inclusive community where every voice is heard and valued.

Public trust in institutions is constantly being tested. Research shows Australians’ trust in politicians (our political representatives) and democracy is at an all time low. ‘Fewer than 41% of Australian citizens are satisfied with the way democracy works in Australia, down from 86% in 2007’. So it is more crucial than ever to have representatives who are guided by a strong moral compass. I am committed to upholding the highest standards of ethics, integrity, and honesty in my service to the residents of Glen Eira and Jasper Ward.

Ethics, integrity and honesty have been the hallmarks of everything I do as a community advocate and member of the community. Whether it was a school PFA volunteer or school council committee member or a current member of the EPA Victoria Community Consultation Group member, my values and high standards of integrity are what guide me.

Multicultural Community

My campaign acknowledges and values the diverse multicultural tapestry of Glen Eira and Jasper Ward. I am committed to representing and advocating for the needs of all residents, regardless of their cultural background, and fostering a community that celebrates and respects cultural differences.

Neurodivergent Community

I recognise the importance of accommodating and supporting neurodivergent individuals within our community. As an advocate for inclusivity, I will work towards creating a more accessible and understanding environment for those with neurodiverse conditions, ensuring they have equal opportunities to thrive and contribute to Glen Eira and Jasper Ward.

Gender & LGBTQI+ Community

I am dedicated to promoting gender equality and inclusivity in Glen Eira and Jasper Ward. I believe in creating a safe and supportive space for individuals of all gender identities, and I will strive to address issues of gender discrimination and inequality through policy advocacy and community engagement.

I am committed to providing support for the LGBTQI+ community. Every individual deserves equality, respect, and acceptance regardless of their sexual orientation or gender identity. If elected, I pledge to advocate for policies that promote inclusivity, diversity, and the rights of LGBTQI+ individuals in our community. I am committed to acknowledging and honouring the traditional custodians of the land on which Glen Eira and Jasper Ward stands. I recognise the importance of amplifying Indigenous voices, advocating for Indigenous rights, and working towards genuine reconciliation and partnership with the local Indigenous community.

As an independent candidate for Glen Eira and Jasper Ward, I understand the importance of advocating for the rights and needs of individuals with disabilities within our community. It is crucial to ensure that our public spaces, services, and policies are inclusive and accessible to everyone, regardless of their abilities.

If elected, I will work towards promoting disability awareness, improving accessibility in public spaces, and advocating for the rights of individuals with disabilities.
